TAFT -- The depth of Garces' boys golf team was tested Monday like it hadn't been before this season.

The Rams answered like never before, too, earning themselves the Central Section's South Area championship at Mifflin-Buena Vista Golf Course.

LANCASTER -- Tony Cingrani allowed only one earned run and struck out eight in six innings of work to lead the Blaze to a 9-6 victory Monday over the Lancaster JetHawks at Clear Channel Stadium

Devin Lohman had two hits, including his third homer of the season, three runs and two RBIs for the Blaze, which totaled 12 hits off three Lancaster pitchers.
